Surprisingly, cacti are quick to sprout and easy to grow.  The Cactus Mix contains a variety of Cacti. These succulent perennials are native to arid and semi-arid regions across the West and can be spotted in areas like Arizona, Nevada and even parts of California.

Cacti are used as sources of not only food, drink, and medicine, but for making sealants, caulking, building materials, toys, and much more. Fossil evidence suggests that cacti have been part of the human diet for more than 9,000 years. 

Cactus plants grow as trees, shrubs and even vines. They have no leaves, but they possess smalls spines which are like modified leaves. These spines protect the cacti from being eaten by animals.
