Pothos Manjula, also known as Epipremnum Aureum Manjula, is a rare and stunning variety of pothos with wavy, heart-shaped leaves splashed with white, silver, and green variegation. This low-maintenance trailing plant is perfect for beginners and adds a touch of elegance to any indoor space.

How to Care for Pothos Manjula

Watering

Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out before watering. Overwatering can cause root rot, so ensure the pot has drainage holes.

Sunlight

Thrives in bright, indirect light, but can tolerate low light. More light helps maintain its striking variegation. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Temperature

Prefers temperatures between 65°F-85°F (18°C-29°C). Keep away from cold drafts, air conditioners, and heaters.

Humidity

This plant enjoys moderate to high humidity but adapts well to average household humidity levels. If the air is too dry, consider occasional misting or using a humidifier.

Toxicity

Pothos Manjula is toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep it out of reach of children and animals.

Fertilizer

Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter.

Growth Rate

A moderately fast-growing trailing plant that can reach up to 6-10 feet when given proper care. It can be trained to climb or left to cascade in a hanging planter.

Pruning

Prune occasionally to maintain shape and encourage fuller growth. Remove any yellow or damaged leaves as needed.

Propagation

Easily propagated through stem cuttings. Cut below a node and place the cutting in water or moist soil until roots develop.

Soil Mix

Prefers a well-draining soil mix with organic matter. A blend of potting soil, perlite, and coconut coir or peat moss works well.

Repotting

Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot one size larger and refresh the soil mix.

Common Pests

Susceptible to spider mites, mealybugs, and fungus gnats. Regularly check leaves and treat infestations with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Common Problems

  • Yellowing leaves – Often due to overwatering. Adjust watering frequency.
  • Browning leaf tips – Can be caused by low humidity or excessive direct sunlight. Increase humidity or move to a shadier spot.
  • Loss of variegation – Occurs in low light conditions. Move to a brighter location to maintain vibrant colors.

I’ve never loved a bar of soap so much.
Scent: Unscented
For starters, I suffer with severe sensitive skin, Eczema (which also has a huge gut health component) - however I’ve been struggling pretty bad the last few months. In my search to find more natural and nontoxic options, I stumbled upon castile soap - I’ve been using it to wash my dishes, clothes, skin. Finding out that the alkalinity of the soap can destroy sensitive skin barriers (even with diluting). I think it is been the leading cause of my skin dryness. (Despite lathering up with things like organic Shea butter and castor oil). I was getting very frustrated and very stressed and I found this family owned company. I’ve always wanted to try more tallow products, and know how amazing honey and castor oil is for health and rejuvenation (inside and out). I figured what the heck this is a pretty decent price. When I say I do not want to stop using the bar so I mean it like it is now becoming a struggle for me to get out of the shower because I want to keep blathering up because it feels so good. As a bartender and someone who hates having dirty hands - I really hate washing my hands, despite how much I feel obligated to do it. I’m contemplating bringing a bar of soap With me wherever I go so that I have good soap to use 😆. I’m about to buy some from my mom and try other products. I will update if my skin issues have subsided (in a month or so I reckon). I am getting an Eczema patch on my stomach/torso area, my inner thigh to my knee, and back of legs as well. As well as for the last month despite how much dry skin I take off my face, And how much castor oil I rub in - even with a moist appearing face - the flaky skin pokes through. I immediately felt soft skin upon using this product on my face. Normally, I would test out a small area, but with only a few ingredients I was like screw it. I ran out of soap and it’s either that or using watered down castile. Please give this a try. I cannot attest for the scented versions. Also, I saw someone say that it burned their eyes? Castile burns my eyes - this, does not. (And I probably scrub my eyes harder than I should post makeup remover - which is a balm - and just on the eyes).

Great first impression!
Scent: Unscented
This soap was delivered last night, so I used it first thing this morning. So far, I am very satisfied. It has almost no odor—which I like. It created a good lather and left my face and body feeling soft and clean, but not dry. The natural ingredients mean it’s actually good for my skin! It seems to be a great value. The only improvement I can suggest is to make the edges a little softer (more rounded) because it’s quite square to be rubbing my underarms (and other delicate areas). If new details are warranted, I’ll edit this review
