Chamomile - Matricaria recutita
Annual An attractive herb with small white, daisy-like flowers with yellow centers and finely-cut foliage. The flowers are fragrant with an apple-like scent and attract bees, butterflies and birds as well as being a source for herbal tea and medicinal qualities. Both the flowers and foliage, when dried, are used for tea.

Soil and Water: Chamomile likes well-drained, poor to average soil with a PH of 5.6-7.5 Keep it watered but not soggy.
Planting and Growing: Sow seeds indoors about 6 weeks before last frost. Do not cover seed, it needs light to germinate. Suitable for outdoor planting, but not recommended for containers. Self-sows readily if left to go to seed.
Harvesting and Storage: Harvest the flowers and foliage ideally early in the morning, when the flowers are just fully open. They can be used fresh, if desired, or hung to dry for storage and later use.
