This beautiful piece was runway look #40 and as shown, paired with chic fingerless gloves. John Galliano is widely considered one of the most innovative and influential fashion designers of the early twenty-first century. He mingled his references in often surprising juxtapositions to create extravagant yet intricately engineered and meticulously tailored clothes. This dress is everything you look for in Galliano era Dior. The fabric used are glorious; a luxurious mid-weight satin lined silk crepe in the prettiest ivory hue. There is stunning asymmetric draped construction which is so flattering to the figure. The skillfully gathered drop waist side-pocket cummerbund with buttons is the loveliest detail.
